PRE-PAGEANT NIGHT PROVIDES PREVIEW
OF GREATER EXCITEMENT TO COME
The rafters of the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium brimmed with excited supporters and onlookers as the candidates of Slimmers World International’s Miss Bikini Philippines 2008 showcased their finest bikini form on the Pre-Pageant Night last May 21, 2008.
The 25 candidates, selected from over 300 aspirants, came from all over
the country to compete for the right to represent the country in the prestigious
Miss Bikini World and Miss Bikini International. During the Pre-Pageant,
the audience was treated to the Creative Posing competition in which candidates
presented their bikini forms at their most imaginative. The cheers grew
louder as the candidates also showed their elegant side in the Long Gown
competition.
The same evening, Sponsors’ Awards were handed out to deserving candidates. Best in Make-up sponsored by La Salle College International was given to Aubrey Ross Abarcar while Russ Raguin bagged the Miss Getzmo.com title, the candidate who got the highest number of online votes. Brennen International, makers of the Hollywood Cookie & Miracle Diet awarded the title of Miss Hollywood to Kristel Presado along with P10,000 in cash. The title of Miss Hydroxydase was awarded to Lovely Matola, along with P10,000 worth of Hydroxydase products. Miss Lactacyd went to Hannah Leah Pasudag along with a year’s supply of Lactacyd Feminine Wash and Miss Broad Medic title with 50,000 worth of laser services was given to Joyce Peñanueva of Davao City.
A preview of the greater excitement in the Coronation
Night, the Pre-Pageant gave the audience an idea of the difficulty the
judges will be faced when selecting the winners. In the Coronation Night,
the winners will get grand prizes, bigger than ever before. Miss Bikini
Philippines World will represent the country in Miss Bikini World and
will win over P500,000 in cash and other prizes. Miss Bikini Philippines
International will represent the country in China and will bring home
over P400,000 in cash and prizes. The first and second runners up will
get P200,000 and P150,000 in cash and prizes respectively. Best in Long
Gown wins P30,000 in cash and prizes. Best in Talent wins P30,000 in cash
and prizes. Best in National Costume wins P30,000 in cash and prizes.
Miss Great Skin wins P50,000 worth of Slimmers World Face and Skin services.
Miss Photogenic win P25,000 worth of cash and prizes. Miss Congeniality
takes homes P25,000 in cash and prizes.
